Arena Trouble
You are a skilled samurai tasked with entertaining the packed arena! Dodge, slice and juggle the blades to earn points. Don't forget that the crowd is here to see excitement so a simple slice will bore them. They want to see near misses. If the crowd is bored they will begin throwing more blades into the arena so stay sharp!
About The Submission
Hey I'm Jordan - a solo developer from Canada. Its been over 3 years since my last jam participation and Im so happy to have "finished" a game again!
When given the arena theme, the first thought I had was a game around balancing the entertainment of an arena's crowd. To keep scope down I thought through simple game concepts that already exist.... then it hit me!
I tried to focus on making the impacts and movement juicy and entertaining over anything else.
AI Usage Note:
- AI was NOT used on any graphics or audio assets
- AI was NOT used for any code generation
- AI WAS used to generate concept art in the idea generation phase
- AI WAS used to debug, learn Godot and understand the code I was writing (its been a while)

I have 0 artistic skill. Some assets were created by me but the majority of resources for this project are all free on Itch.io:

Things I Cut From Scope:
- Proper tutorial
- More crowd interactions like yelling things at you
- Power up drops
- Fixing infinite attack jumps (its kinda fun lol)
